BEVERLY BENNETT

Beverly "Bev" Bennett, age 63, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mallard with Fr. Bruce LeFebvre officiating. Burial was in the Clinton-Garfield Cemetery near Rolfe.

Survivors include children, Marilyn (Dave) Morey of Mallard, Kerry (Chuck) Gilarski of Ames, Mike (Deb) Bennett of Fort Dodge, Jan (Mike) Zweber of New Prague, Minnesota, and Leann (Bob) Sweeney of Mankato, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; and brother Dale (Kate) Ryen of Worthington, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard "Dick" Bennett.

Beverly Louise Pierick was born August 31, 1937, at Carroll. She was the daughter of William and Mary (Tscherter) Pierick. Bev graduated from D.M.T. High School in 1955. She worked in Fort Dodge before her marriage. On August 17, 1957, she married Richard "Dick" Bennett at Fairmont, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Rolfe. After her children had grown tip, Bev became a C.R.N.A. and was currently employed at the Pocahontas Community Hospital. Dick died on November 11, 2000, and Bev had continued to make her home in Rolfe.

Bev enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cooking and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed visiting her many friends.
