ROLFE - Art Boeckholt, 81, of Rolfe, died Tuesday evening [February 16, 1993] at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Rolfe, with the Rev. Albert B. Best officiating. Burial will be in Clinton-Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at Powers Funeral Home in Rolfe.

Survivors include his wife, Gertie; sons, James, Red Bluff, Calif., Wilmer, Gilmore City, Russell, Gerber Calif., and Joe, Rolfe; daughters, Deloris Cran, Des Moines, Marian Tuma and Joan Dirks, both of Pocahontas, and Linda Tiernan, Rolfe; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter, Algona; and sister, Elsie Wertjes, Bancroft. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond; his parents; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters.

Arthur Boeckholt was born Jan. 27, 1912 in Herman, Minn. He attended school in Lakota. In 1933, he married Gertie Boeckholt at Albert Lea, Minn. They lived in Swea City where he farmed until 1942, when they settled near Rolfe, where he farmed for Roy Simonson for more than 20 years. In 1971, they moved into Rolfe. He retired in 1973.
