BERNICE HAUCK

Bernice Hauck, 97, died Dec. 1st, 1998 in Fort Myers, Florida.

Private Memorial services were held July 1999 and her ashes were buried in the Hauck plot at the Clinton Garfield Cemetery in Rolfe, Iowa.

Survivors include daughters, Jeanette (Bill) Forsyth, Fort Myers, Florida; Joann (Harry) Bollard, Wheat Ridge, Colorado; James (Shirley) Hauck, Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. Two sisters, Zoe Rierson, Radcliffe Ia. and Ruth Cook, Santa Clara, Ca. A brother, Gene Foval, Mission Tx. A son Bobby Jean Hauck died in infancy. One grandson Bill Forsyth and her parents preceded her in death.

Bernice was born February 20th, 1901 in Jewell, Iowa. She attended Ames College. She moved to Rolfe where she met and married Valentine (Bud) Hauck in 1923. They owned and operated. Haucks' Market. Bud passed away unexpectedly July 1944 at age 43. Bernice continued the grocery business until 1953 when she sold it to Warren Freeman. Bernice moved to Long Beach California. and worked several years at Walkers Dept Store. She spent her last years in Fort Myers, Florida, living close to her daughter, Jeanette Forsyth.

She was a member of the Rolfe Presbyterian Church; Eastern Star, and Sorosis Club.

She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
