WAYNE SNOOK

Wayne Snook, 74, of Fort Collins, Colorado  passed away Feb. 15, 2006.

Wayne was born on Dec. 6, 1931, in Rolfe, Iowa, to Paul and Clinnie (Severns) Snook. He graduated from Rolfe High School and later joined the Navy where he served in Korea. Wayne was united in marriage to Roberta Baird on Oct. 25, 1952, in Honolulu, Hawaii. After the service, he lived in Fairhaven, Mass., for most of his life. In 1990, he moved to Fort Collins. Wayne was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He loved to fish, play cards and travel.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roberta Snook, of Fort Collins; his son, Paul Snook, of Fort Collins; two daughters, Roberta Machado, of Fort Collins, and Nancy Lucchini, of Nantucket, Mass.; brothers, Don Snook, of Decatur, Ala., Larry Snook, of Maryland, Paul Snook, of Texas, Delmer Snook, of Mississippi; sisters, Ethel Costa, of Fairhaven, Mass.; Juanita (Jackie) Widstrup of Decatur, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters [Beverly Snook Williams] and one grandchild, Becky Machado.

A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Allnutt Drake Chapel.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, also at Allnutt Drake Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the All Veterans Honor Guard.
