LEONARD (LENNY) WHITE

Lenny White, age 67, passed away on March 5, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Leonard Claude White was born on January 7, 1944, at Fort Dodge. He was the son of Edgar and Frances (Ripperger) White. Lenny was raised and educated in Rolfe, graduating from Rolfe High School in 1963. He made his home in Wahpeton near Milford, Iowa, in the 1970’s, returning to the family farm to help with harvesting and various projects.

Survivors include his wife: Rosemary; sons: David White of Laurens and Daniel White of Sioux City; step-daughters: Linda Van Slyke of Mankato, MN, Becky (Ron) Boelkes of Tyler, TX and Tawny (Tony) Morris of Kanawha; three grandchildren; several step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and two very special friends, LeRoy Schoon from Missouri and Mike Hass of Wahpeton.

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, Jr. and Frances White, wife Janice, son Thomas and sister, Mary Ann.

Lenny will be remembered for his love of visiting, the Lakes Region, the farm, fishing and hunting and his Farmall Tractors. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
