Beryl
Jean Schoon, 77, of Monett, MO, passed away at Lacoba Homes on Thursday morning,
January 8, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Beryl was born on March 17, 1937 in Aberdeen, SD, daughter of the late Henry and
Barbara (Hillman) Wickre. Beryl grew up in Iowa and had moved to Missouri in
1978. She had worked for many years at the Camden Nursing Home in Monett.
On July 16, 1955, Beryl married Leroy Schoon. To this union, five children were
born. Beryl is survived by her three sons, Ray Schoon, and wife Debbie, Dennis
Schoon, and wife Roneen and Bruce Schoon, and wife Lisa, all of Monett; two
daughters, Chris Miller, of Independence, MO and Sandy Campbell, and husband
Jeff, of Monett; eight grandchildren, Justin Schoon, Adam Wormington, Kara
Miller Willis, Nigel Schoon, Sarah Schoon Coker, Kaitlyn Campbell, Vanessa
Schoon and Samantha Schoon; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon
Rickard, and husband Jerry, of Orlando, FL; four nephews, Jeff, James, Justin
and Jason Rickard; as well as a host of extended family and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents; and one son-in-law, Gene Miller.
