Betty Sinek Sandvig Iowa City, Iowa Rolfe High School Class of 1948 After our 50th Class Reunion, I was convinced we had the best class that ever graduated from Rolfe High School. There were no Rhodes scholars, no millionaires or nationally famous members - only good people, city administrators, business persons, teachers and educators, farmers, musicians, social service workers, good fathers and mothers who represented their backgrounds in a fashion complimentary to their parents and the community in which they grew up. We had no idea how special we were and still are. No one in our class of 23 or their spouses are deceased. Is that significant or what?? We must remain to spread the goodness we were so fortunate to share in the small town of Rolfe and the halls of Rolfe High School. You may now stand ---- and pass. |
